Locking a thread allows grades to be assigned without users updating or changing posts. Select Lock. Change the status of the thread to re-open the thread to editing. Select Unlock.
When posting to the forums you can insert a hyperlink by first highlighting the text you wish to become the link. Then simply click the "link" button, a pop-up box will appear with 2 text boxes. Open the discussion's menu and select Delete. You can delete an entire discussion along with all responses and replies. Instructors can delete any discussion, while students can only delete discussions they've created. When students delete a discussion, other users see a message about the deletion.
