Blackboard at ODU. The Blackboard Learning System enhances the classroom experience by enabling collaboration, feedback, and access to documents, assignments and other materials. Before using Blackboard in your courses, you should attend a Blackboard training class with the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT).
You can return to previous courses to review content, reuse material, and prepare your future courses. Your institution controls the page that appears after you log in. On the Courses page, you can access all of your courses. Each course card lists the course ID, course title, and instructor.

After you complete a course, your student-generated content, including submissions and blogs, will be periodically removed from Blackboard after 12 months. Tip: always keep a copy of all work submitted for assessment.
Per the University's 1.07 Records Retention Policy, Blackboard Learn academic courses created from the Student Information System (SIS) will remain on the Blackboard Learn System for 3 years after the semester has ended.
To ensure system performance, the database only stores data for the previous 180 days. Therefore, activity that occurred more than 180 days before running the report will not be included in the report. To increase the number of days that data is stored, please contact Blackboard Support.
Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.
Hold down the "Ctrl" button and press "Z." This keyboard shortcut recovers deleted items, deleted text and moved items.
On the Administrator Panel in the Courses section, select Courses. Search for a course. Select the check box for each course to delete. Select Delete.
