Blackboard Collaborate™ is a simple, convenient, and reliable online collaborative learning solution. The tool is tightly integrated with HuskyCT, the University’s learning management system, and its features complement the existing functionality of HuskyCT. Collaborate also has unique in-session tools, such as breakout rooms, an interactive whiteboard, application sharing, polling, and a hand-raising feature, that enhance engagement and the face-to-face feel of online classes.
Courses are offered in HuskyCT at the discretion of the instructor. Therefore, not all courses in the UConn catalog will be available in HuskyCT. If you are officially registered in a course that is not listed in HuskyCT after the start date of the semester, please inquire with your instructor.
HuskyCT is UConn’s learning management system that is built on the Blackboard platform. Your NetID and password give you access to your HuskyCT portal. To login, please click here. HuskyCT/Blackboard is available for free through the Blackboard mobile app on iOS and Android devices. Access for UConn students and faculty is free. You can also link your Google Drive to see contents through the Blackboard app.
Upon matriculation, all UConn students are issued a NetID and password, which will give you access to your UConn email, Google Apps, and HuskyCT. Students wishing to study a topic independently, for credit, must find an instructor to supervise the project. The instructor and the student then agree on the number of credits the student may earn. The student must complete an Independent Study Authorization Form, have it signed, and deliver it to the Registrar.
In order to register for a class whose time overlaps with another class for which you have already registered, you must obtain a note from the instructor of the second class indicating allowances for the conflict to be arranged. It is then brought to the Registrar’s office so class can be added.
