Users can use Firefox or Google Chrome, or they can turn off the setting in Microsoft Edge. Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Blackboard Learn. The Windows version of the Blackboard app is no longer supported and was removed from the Microsoft Store on December 31, 2019. The iOS and Android versions of the app are supported and get regular updates.

If you already installed the launcher, your browser may not detect it, and you'll be prompted to download the launcher. This can happen if you cleared your cache and cookies last time you exited your browser, use secure or private browsing, or use a different browser.
If your browser also prompts you to open the .collab file, do not do so until you have installed the launcher. When you run the installer, you possibly may see an Installer Information dialog that says "the cabinet file is corrupt and cannot be used.". It means the download of the installer was incomplete.
When you tap Add Content for an Ultra course test or assignment, you see the editor. You can insert your content in these ways. Type in the text box and use the menus to apply formatting. Tap the Insert plus sign to add formulas, links, images or videos from Web, files, or Web Content.
Add Text: Type text that you want your instructor to receive with your assignment submission. Add File: You can look for files on your phone or on your cloud storage. You may be prompted to sign in to a cloud storage service. Tap the plus sign to add more files or text.
For tests, you may be able to view your attempt in the app, but it depends on the test settings your instructor chose. If you can't see your attempt, try viewing it in a web browser instead. More on grades and feedback.
You can take tests and submit assignments in the Blackboard app. If a test isn't supported on mobile, you'll see a message in the app that directs you to take the assessment in a desktop browser instead.
Assignments in Blackboard are accessible once they’ve been deployed by your instructor in a Content Area of the course. Your instructor may have an entire area in your course dedicated to all assignments, perhaps even linked on the Course menu, or assignments may be placed along with related lesson material within unit folders in the course.
Each time you successfully submit to an assignment in Blackboard, you’ll be taken to the submission history page, which will show you grade information, a timestamp of your submission, a link to any attached files, and a preview of those files if they were submitted in one of the approved formats.
Assignments submitted in Blackboard are not scored automatically, but need to be reviewed by your instructor. After reviewing your work, you instructor can use the same Assignment tool to provide you with a grade, written feedback, and additional files.
