A school that is very strict may have a code placed for teachers where insulting students is seen as constructive criticism and not bad. However in most public schools, a teacher calling their students names are mainly seen as unprofessional and could result in them getting in trouble if the principal were to find out.
It is inappropriate for a student to call a teacher by his or her first name in a school where teachers are addressed as “Mr. Smith” or “Ms. Jones” by the other students because it indicates lack of respect and flouting the culture of your school.

Originally Answered: Why do teachers/instructors get upset when students call them by their first name? Many instructors try to maintain a professional distance from their students. When a student calls them by their first name, it can make them feel as though they are being disrespectful by being so casual.
It's traditional in American public education to call them by their last name with Mr., Ms. Dr. or whatever honorarium they deserve, because, in theory, they are due respect. I agree that in most cases teachers should be accorded the signs of respectful address.

Blackboard cannot tell if you switch tabs if you have opened it on a normal browser. It can only detect if you are working on a proctored test or using a lockdown browser. With proctor software, Blackboard can detect the switching of tabs or cursor movements away from an active tab.Feb 4, 2022
In a normal assignment environment, Blackboard or Canvas cannot detect screen sharing or screenshots if a student is working on them using a normal browser.
