Sometimes, because of network issues, Blackboard can be slow to respond, particularly if you are uploading any files. Do not close the web browser, or minimize it to do other things while the assignment/post is uploading, as this may terminate the upload before it is completed.May 24, 2021
Answer. The majority of Blackboard assignments only allow one attempt for submissions.
You'll see Start attempt instead of View assessment. When you select Start attempt, you'll receive a pop-up window to start the timer before you can access the assignment. If you're not ready to start, select Cancel. After you start, the assignment auto-submits when time is up.
When the text you enter into Blackboard has extra space, has funny characters, or looks goofy in some other way, this usually happens when you cut and paste from a Word document or from the web.

Hover over the cell and click on the contextual menu on the right side of the cell. Then select the View Grade Details from the drop-down menu. On the following page, click on the Clear Attempt button or Allow Additional Attempt. Clearing the attempt will completely remove the student's first attempt.
You can't edit a submitted assignment, but you may be allowed to resubmit it. However, you can't resubmit all assignments. Check if you can submit an assignment more than once. If you can't and made a mistake, you must contact your instructor to ask for the opportunity to resubmit the assignment.
