What is canvas LMS?

Canvas is a LMS created and managed by Instructure.com. If you have ideas for changes, improvements and fixes, please send them to Instructure so that they can review your request and possibly make changes to the LMS.

When will Canvas be available for teaching?

Beginning in Summer 2020, faculty can choose to teach with Canvas or Blackboard. Starting in Summer 2021, only Canvas will be available. You do NOT need to request a Canvas Shell to use Summer 2021 for teaching. All course shells will be added to Canvas & Blackboard in the Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring terms.
