Blackboard Collaborate is a synchronous online tool that allows students and their instructors to communicate in real time via a virtual classroom. Collaborate is built right into your course and you do not need to sign into anything else in order to access this virtual classroom. In this virtual classroom, you can chat with instructors and other students. Some classrooms also allow audio and video. Not all instructors use this feature so be sure to find out from your instructor if there is a virtual classroom for the class.
