To add a Turnitin assignment, select the Assessments drop-down menu, then select Turnitin Assignment. On the assignment creation page, enter an assignment title and an optional point value for the assignment. Only alpha-numeric characters should be used when creating an assignment title.
After logging into Blackboard, select the Courses tab from the menu at the top of the page and switch Edit Mode on. This toggle can be found in the top right-hand corner. Select a course from the Course List. From the left-hand navigation, select Content under your course title.
The default option is to Allow only file types that Turnitin can check for similarity. For assignments that do not require Originality Reports instructors can select Allow any file type which allows instructors to leave feedback on every file type.

This feature of assignment creation provides instructors with the ability to control when grades are revealed to students. Select yes to reveal grades to students on the post date of the assignment. This means that the Grade Center column will be hidden for students until the post date. If no is selected, grades will be revealed to students once an instructor grades their paper.
When you create a Turnitin assignment, the default settings prevent students from seeing grades before the Post Date.
To avoid having grade columns disappear from Weighted Totals, we recommend setting Reveal Grades Immediately to Yes. Beginning an assignment with Ignore Turnitin Grades also set to Yes (to ignore the grades) will hide the grades from students.
