You can't edit a submitted assignment, but you may be allowed to resubmit it. However, you can't resubmit all assignments. Check if you can submit an assignment more than once. If you can't and made a mistake, you must contact your instructor to ask for the opportunity to resubmit the assignment.
The number of submissions and the ability to re-submit an assignment is controlled by the Instructor of a class. If the assignment is set to allow re-submissions, then when you go back to the assignment, a button will appear near the bottom of the screen labeled "Start New Submission."

An attempt grade refers to the score that a student receives for an actual attempt. An attempt grade could be a score automatically created from a test, or it could set manually, for example by an instructor viewing an Assignment submission and entering an attempt grade.
Students only see their last submission but instructors can view all submissions.
To access grading from the discussion board: Click on the drop-down menu to the right of the name of the forum. Click on "grade". Click the Grade button next to the student's name. Under "Forum Grade" (see image), select the "Edit Grade" button to view your options.
A Needs Grading shortcut link (Smart View favorite) appears by default under Grade Center in the Control Panel. If this smart view does not exist, you can create one in the Grade Center.
If the Test tool was used for an assessment, you might see a score if the test was self- scoring and was completed on time. However, if the student exceeded the time limit or questions were included that cannot automatically grade (essay, short answer, etc.), you must enter the test to complete the grading process and you will see an icon instead of a score in the cell for that student.
Once a test has been created in Blackboard, it will need to be added into a content area or course folder so that students can access it. To do so, navigate to the area of the course where you would like to deploy your test, then click on Create Assessment > Test.
We recommend leaving this option set to No. If any students have browser settings that block pop-up windows, setting this option to Yes may prevent the test from opening on their browsers.
