Go to your Blackboard Collaborate session. Click on the Share Content tab and then select Share Application/Screen. Click to Start recording, check your audio and more. Click Open Collaborate panel. Click Share Content. Click Share Application/Screenif you wish to share without uploading. If you want to delete or rename a file, go to Share Files in the Collaborate panel. Find the file and open the File options menu. Select the Remove file or Rename file.
Share camera. The Share camera option gives you the ability to share more than one camera. Share your video and share another camera connected to your computer. Students can see you and anything else you want to show. You're only limited by the number of cameras and USB ports in your computer.
This ability to share the camera as content on a mobile device means that moderators can now choose to use their back or rear facing camera as well. Only one camera can be shared at a time from a mobile device. Any video already shared will end to show the video from the new camera.
The standard way of sharing a PowerPoint presentation in Blackboard Collaborate is to use the "share files" feature and upload your file. However, sharing this way means your PowerPoint animations are lost and there can occasionally be issues with the formatting of the slides.
Setting up your presentation in PowerPoint. Start up the desktop version of PowerPoint and open your presentation. Go to the Slide Show tab and then select the Set Up Slide Show option. Select the Browsed by an individual (window) option. Then select OK.
Start your slide show either by using the buttons in the ribbon, or the button in the bottom of the window. Instead of taking up the whole screen, your presentation will start up in a window which you can move around and resize as you like.
From the Collaborate Menu, bottom right, select the Share Content Button.
Add Files as shown above.Please note these will be displayed on screen as a PDF. Any animations in the slides will not be displayed.
You can then navigate through the slides either by selecting a specific slide, or by using the navigation forward and backwards buttons below the slides.
