1. The Course Management menu is located on the lower left menu bar on the Course Home Page. The course management menu provides instructors with tools to create, manage and modify the course. Files, Course Tools, Evaluation, Grade Center, Users and Groups, Customization, Packages and Utilities, and Help are available.
The course menu is the panel on the left side of the interface that contains links to all top-level course areas. Instructors can also provide links to the tools page, individual tools, websites, course items, and module pages. Instructors control the content and tools available on the course menu.

To access the course content collection, go to the Blackboard Control Panel:

After clicking the Move button, you will see a screen labeled Move Content:
After clicking Submit, you will receive a green notification bar indicating that moving the item was successful.
In your Blackboard course, locate the folder that you wish to copy, and click the chevron next to the item and choose Move from the menu that appears.
You will now see the following screen labeled Move. Under the section labeled Destination:
On the screen that pops up, select the folder to move the materials to. Once you have selected the folder, you will be taken back to the Move Item screen.
To do this, click on the editing arrow next to the Item or folder, and then choose Copy or Move.
In order to copy or move content to another Blackboard course you do, naturally, need to be enrolled on both the ‘source’ and ‘destination’ courses.
It is possible to request for your entire course, or large chunks of it, to be copied to another course. Please use the request form at https://www.reading.ac.uk/blackboard/bbcopy/Home/CopyRequest
In some cases you might simply want to copy a set of uploaded files from one course to another. You can do this via the Blackboard Fileshare (Content Collection). For help, please see the Blackboard help page Manage Files in the Content Collection.
With your keyboard, you can move an item to a new location and move an item into a folder. Tab to an item's move icon. Press Enter to activate move mode. Use the arrow keys to choose a location. Press Enter to drop the item in the new location. In an item's row, open the menu to access the Edit and Delete functions.
After you add content to a course, Ally creates alternative formats of the content based on the original. For example, if the original content is a PDF, Ally creates audio, electronic braille, and ePub formats of the same content. These formats are made available with the original file so everything is in one convenient location.
You can easily set each piece of course content as visible or hidden from students . You can make this setting when you create each piece of content, or you can make a change after the content appears in your course.
You can delete an item from your course or hide it from students to preserve the information. Students can't access hidden items on the Course Content page. If you delete a folder or learning module that has content, the content is also removed from the Course Content page.
To edit the file's alternative text or display behavior, select the file in the editor and then select the Edit Attachment icon. In most browsers, you can select where the files that you open in courses are downloaded. For example, in Chrome, navigate to Settings > Advanced > Downloads.

On the Course Content page, you can create a document or page to present a combination of content. For example, you can include introductory text for a lesson, an audio file of a lecture, and an image. When students select the document title, the materials you added are all presented together on one page. Students see the content just as you see it, without the editing options.
