In the panel, you can select your submission in the Grading section and also see that you made a late submission. If set up by your instructor, you may see zeros for work you haven't submitted after the due date passes.
If you submit after the due date, your submission is marked LATE and penalties may apply. The digital dropbox has been replaced by the assignments tool in Blackboard Learn. If your instructor has asked you to submit something to the digital dropbox, ask for other instructions.

The review period starts automatically once the submission due date has passed. At that time, students can return to the assignment and start their reviews. Before the review period begins, students who have submitted their assignments will be informed when they can begin their peer reviews.
Just like with other assignments, students can submit work late. Their lateness is indicated in the gradebook and grading workflows unless a due date accommodation applies to them.
On the Submission page for the assignment, it’s possible to review all students’ statuses, whether they’ve submitted, how many peer reviews they’ve completed, and whether they were late with either the submission or their reviews.
In the grading workflow, you or any assigned grader can view the original assignment instructions, a student’s submission, the reviews this student gave to her peers, and the feedback this student received from her peers.
You can edit peer review items in batches. Adjust the due date of separate items at the same time by delaying or advancing the date in a given batch.
To set the percentage you want late submissions to be deducted, set a percentage in the Deduct field [1]. Then set the interval for which you would like Canvas to deduct points in the For each late drop-down menu [2]. Available interval options are Day or Hour.
To manage the lowest possible grade threshold for the late policy, enter a percentage in the Lowest possible grade field. The lowest possible grade percentage is the lowest score a student can receive when late policy deductions are applied to grades entered above that percentage.
If you set a late policy, and then adjust any of the parameters, Canvas will display a warning to notify you that changing the late policy will affect previously graded submissions. To exclude a submission from the late penalty you will have to manually change a submission's status to something other than late in the Grade Detail Tray.
Submission receipts can be viewed either by looking up individual user information, or instructors can look up a specific submission receipt code to view the student who submitted the item.
