It's very easy to invite people from outside of the University of Sheffield to your session - in Blackboard Collaborate this is known as 'Guest access'.

You can find Blackboard Collaborate under your course Details & Actions. Next to Blackboard Collaborate, open the More options for Collaborate menu. From this menu you can get the course room guest link, edit the course room settings, view the course room attendance report, and disable the course room.
To find the Guest Link for the Course Room, click on the Course Room Options button, then click Get guest link.
To find the Guest Link for a forthcoming scheduled session, click the Session Options button beside the details of a session, then Edit Settings.
The settings panel opens, with the Guest Link highlighted. Click on the Copy button copy this link to the Clipboard.
Guests in a course can include guest lecturers, potential students, or other users who aren't directly participating in your course.
Select Yes for Allow Guests. The Guest role is not supported at this time in the Ultra Course View. If you want someone to have minimal access to your Ultra course, you must add them to your Ultra course and use the Interpreter role.
Collaborate Ultra is integrated into your myLesley course. But your guest does not need to be enrolled in your course in order to join the session. Instead, you will create a session (or use your existing course room) and send them a guest link.
You can easily invite guests into any Collaborate Ultra session . Your guests do not need to be enrolled in your myLesley course/community or even a member of Lesley University community! Some uses can include: Collaborate Ultra is integrated into your myLesley course.
Submit an assignmentOpen the assignment. Select Write Submission to expand the area where you can type your submission. Select Browse My Computer to upload a file from your computer. Optionally, type Comments about your submission.Select Submit.
Students have the option to writing or copy/paste their assignment or to upload a file. To attach a file, they can either click Browse My Computer and select a file to upload or drag the file from their computer onto the Attach Files section. Students also have an option to add comments to their submission.
