Open the Full Grade Center, found under the Grade Center options in the Control Panel. Locate the column you want to hide and click the drop down arrow. Click Show/Hide to Users as shown in the red box here.

Post grades. When you're ready to release grades to students, select the Post option in the column header. All grades you've assigned for this column are posted for students to see. If you want to post one at a time, click within that student's cell and select Post in the menu.
Sometimes after a course copy there are extraneous columns in the grade center that you do not want the students to see, but that you do not want to delete. However, simply hiding the column in the grade center does not prevent students from seeing their grade for that column.
