Audio loss means that some of the audio being sent from your computer to the Collaborate server is being lost, and this is caused by the quality (not speed) of your internet connection. This is due to a lag in connection speed. It would also be denoted by a red or orange microphone icon by the participant's name. You can change your connection speed under the Blackboard Collaborate menu under Preferences -> Session -> Connection -> and choose a lower speed. Either Wireless or Dial-Up work best.

Disconnects or frequent audio dropouts are usually caused by the quality of your internet connection. If possible, connect to the internet through a wired connection (not wireless). Moving closer to your wireless router may also help.
The screen sharing button is greyed out. Screen sharing requires the use of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (version 80+). Note that Safari is not currently supported as of 2021-01. Screen sharing also requires the use of a desktop operating system (Windows or MacOS). Screen sharing may also become unavailable if your internet connection is very poor.

Bitrate is a measure of how much audio and video data is being delivered. Generally, the higher the number, the better the quality. However, the content being shared has an impact on this number as well. For example, if you are only sharing audio, this number will be low simply because audio does not have a very high bitrate.
