You can edit SCORM settings from the Course Content page and the gradebook. Open the menu and select Edit to open the settings. From the Grades & Submissions page, select the gear icon.
Communication Settings determine how the Content Player interacts with the server. These settings may need to be adjusted if there are reported timeouts or communication failures between the students' computers and the server. The settings should only be changed by an administrator or experienced SCORM developer.
One type of web-based learning content you can use in your course is called an SCO, or Shareable Content Object. These SCOs are gathered together into a compressed ZIP file called a content package. The zipped file can be unpackaged and played through a content player.
Add a SCORM content package. Add a SCORM package to your course the same as any other piece of content. On the Course Content page, select the plus to add content. In the menu, select Create to open the Create Item panel. Select SCORM package.
You can delete a SCORM package from your course and if no student submissions exist , the gradebook item is also deleted. For SCORMs with submissions, you must confirm that you want to permanently remove the SCORM, all submissions, and grades from your course.
A SCORM package is a Shareable Content Object Reference Model and is designed to be effectively shared across various LMS. The package can contain a course or media content. The SCORM package has a completion score associated with it. The score is updated dynamically during viewing.
The SCORM package for individual media is accessible through the Media Details pane.
Once the SCORM package is downloaded from the Video Platform, it must be uploaded to the LMS. You will complete this operation within the Blackboard LMS.
1. Check that Edit Mode is turned ON. This can be switched by clicking ON or OFF.
2. Enter the content area into which you wish to place your SCORM learning object.
3. Hover your mouse over Build Content and choose Content Package (SCORM).
5. Click on Browse My Computer and locate the object you wish to upload.
6. The Title will be automatically populated from information taken from the object you uploaded at the previous step. You can change this if you wish. You can also enter a Description if you wish.
7. Set Make SCORM Available to Yes. This is not the default option. If you wish for course users to interact with this object it is essential to set this option to Yes.
11. Set how the object should be marked. The creator of the object should advise whether Score, Completion, or Satisfaction should be assessed as this will be dependent on how the object has been set up.
