You can find your course syllabus in your Blackboard course. Step 1: Login to Blackboard and go into your course. You will see the below course menu. Click on 'Syllabus & Schedule'. Step 2: You should see a link to your syllabus similar to the image below. Click on the document name: Step 3: This will download the file.
Open your Blackboard course and look for the " [+] plus sign" above the name of your course in the upper left hand corner, circled in the screen shot below:
Go to the "+" sign above the name of the course, select "tool link" in the drop down menu that appears:
Once you select tool link, type " Official Syllabus "#N##N#for the Name. Then click the drop down box next to "Achievements" and select "Syllabi".
Optional: If there is an existing Syllabus link from the previous semester, you can remove the link by clicking on the link and selecting “Delete” or “Hide Link".
Students and Faculty can then click the "Official Syllabus" link in the Course Menu and the Syllabi screen will appear:
Click the link with course name and the following screen will appear displaying the syllabi for the course.
Don’t get this confused with the first day of classes! First Day is not the first day of classes, rather it is tuition based model in which the cost of digital course materials (textbooks etc.) will be included in the tuition for certain courses or programs.

One assumption some online students make is that all NOVA Online courses are self-paced. To that end, students may put off getting started and learn that their instructor has administratively withdrawn them for not meeting course deadlines. Don’t let this happen to you!
As you are preparing for your fall courses, it is important to keep in mind the importance of attendance and participation. Be mindful of Critical Course Deadlines and course specific deadlines so you don’t miss any assignments and fall behind in your course work.

The syllabus page shows a table-oriented view of the course schedule, and the basics of course grading. You can add any other comments, notes, or thoughts you have about the course structure, course policies or anything else.
As a NOVA student, you should use academic integrity as the guiding principle for all that you do from taking assessments, making presentations to writing papers. It requires that you recognize and acknowledge information derived from others, and take credit only for ideas and work that are yours.
