About grading schemas A schema takes the points scored on an item and compares it to the item's total points possible to derive a percentage. This percentage is mapped to a range of scores and displays a grade, such as a letter (A, B, C) or Pass/Fail.
Inline Assignment Grading provides a way to grade assignments within your Blackboard course. Instead of needing to download student files for viewing, instructors are able to view these files “inline,” i.e. in the web browser, without the need for plug-ins or additional software.
Assign and manage grades. New Submission appears in cells when students have submitted work. Click anywhere in a cell to access the management functions or assign a grade. Select the cell or grade value to edit an existing grade or add a new entry.

Grading Periods are segments that can help manage the Grade Center. Grading Periods, for example, can be defined as Terms, Semesters, Quarters, Years, etc. and can have date ranges that further define them. Grading Periods are not created by default.
Create grading periods In the Grade Center, access the Manage menu and select Grading Periods. On the Grading Periods page, select Create Grading Period and type a name and an optional description. Select the Grading Period Dates. Select None to manually associate columns with the grading period.
Delegated Grading enables two or more staff members to provisionally grade and comment on assignment submissions with one staff member being able to 'reconcile' the final grade.
Go to your course and enter the content area where you want to set up the assignment. Provide a title, description, point value and due date as standard. Tick the box for Enable Delegated Marking. Select who is going to mark the assignment and which submissions they will mark.
