Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.
There are two reasons a student might encounter this message: The student is not registered for any courses in Banner. The instructor may not be using Blackboard or hasn't made the course available to students yet.Mar 4, 2017
To log in directly to Blackboard, open your web browser and type in https://blackboard.utdl.edu/.
After entering the site URL, you will be redirected to the UToledo Single Sign on page. Enter your UTAD username and password in the requisite spaces and you will be redirected to your Blackboard home page.
Launch your web browser and type the following in your browser's address bar: www.utoledo.edu/dl
You will now see a UT Online homescreen similar to the one above. Click the Blackboard Login link on the top portion of the page to access the Blackboard login screen.
After entering the site URL, you will be redirected to the UToledo Single Sign on page. Enter your UTAD username and password in the requisite spaces and you will be redirected to your Blackboard home page.
Go to either the Student or Faculty tab in MyUT and locate the box on the right half of the screen labeled UT Online, as shown above. Click the Blackboard link, and then you will be taken to the Blackboard home page.
3. Type the Course Name into the Course Search box and click Go or press the Enter key.
4. The course you are searching for should be displayed. If it is not you can use the course catalog to browse for your course through clicking on the faculty and school in which your course is held, or use the search options at the top of the page to try searching by the Course ID or Instructor.
7. Sometimes an access code is required before you may complete the enrolment process. This code will be provided to you by your course instructor. If necessary, enter the code into the text box and click on Submit.
In the Customization section of your site's Control Panel, click Guest and Observer Access.
On the Course Menu, choose the downward arrows to the right of each area that you want guests to view. The setting will be either Deny Guests or Permit Guests. Choose Permit Guests.
In the Users and Groups section of your site's Control Panel, click Users.
Please note these steps have changed in January 2021, and all previous guest links will need to be updated.
Then, go to the content area in your Blackboard course where you would like to embed the video. Click on the “Insert/ Edit Embedded Media” button in the text editor. In the window that pops up, paste the URL for your video.
Next, upload the video file to your YouTube channel and copy the video’s URL. Note: If you are in the “Creator Studio” because you added captions, do not use the URL listed on the video’s edit page.
