The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) seeks to enhance excellence in STEM undergraduate education through development of a national faculty committed to implementing and advancing evidence-based teaching practices for diverse learners. CIRTL was founded in 2003 as a National Science Foundation Center for Learning and Teaching in higher education.
Established in fall 2006, the initial CIRTL Network was comprised of Howard University, Michigan State University, Texas A&M University, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Vanderbilt University. After substantial expansions in 2011 and 2016, the Network now includes 37 research universities in the United States and Canada.
Through Drexel's CIRTL membership, graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and faculty may create a CIRTL Network Account online and take advantage of CIRTL programs, workshops, webinars and more. The CIRTL Network runs online events in Blackboard Collaborate for the cross-Network learning community throughout the academic year. In addition to the national network offerings, Drexel hosts programs built around CIRTL's core ideas.
The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) is a nation-wide online network of 40+ universities that seek to enhance excellence in undergraduate education through development of a national faculty committed to implementing and advancing evidence-based teaching practices for diverse learners.

UCLA has CIRTL programs built on the CIRTL core ideas : Teaching-as-research, learning communities and learning-through-diversity. Our local learning community offers its own robust schedule of courses, programs, events, internships and resources. In addition, all UCLA graduate students and post docs automatically have access to the CIRTL online network and can participate with our CIRTL partners in a national cross-network learning community.
The program has been designed to accommodate participants from a variety of disciplines and experience. Choose from a list of options to build an experience that fits your needs and schedule. These opportunities are independent of any department or program requirements.
Scholars complete all the requirements of the Associate and Practitioner levels and present their teaching-as-research project at a Stanford-wide event, CIRTL event, or national or international conference or symposium, and/or publish their work in a scholarly journal.
