On the Administrator Panel in the Tools and Utilities section, select Course Messages to access the options. These options apply to all Ultra and Original courses and organizations. You can choose not to allow students to reply to or create messages in their courses.
Similar to Blackboard Email, Messages are internal to Blackboard. The messages tool allows you to easily manage Blackboard communications within your individual Blackboard courses.
On the Thread Detail page, click the title of one of your own posts. The post appears in the Current Post portion of the content frame. Click Edit to modify the message or click Delete and confirm its removal.
Select a course card to view all new and existing messages in your course. You can delete messages inside of your course.
Participants can only chat privately with moderators: Private chat is available by default. When selected, participants can only chat privately with moderators. If you don't select it, participants can chat privately with any body else in the session.
Open the Collaborate Panel and click the Chat bubble. This will give you access to all active chat streams. Moderators will see a list of all of the Chat Channels. Here they can supervise/view and participate in private chats between attendees.Mar 19, 2020
Access your messages From the Blackboard Communications HQ interface menu, select Messages > Inbox. Select the Subject to open a specific message. You can view the detailed date, time, and address that sent the message if you select Show Delivery Details. You can also Remove the message when finished.
