When students submit an assignment in LEARN, they automatically receive a confirmation that their submission was received—this confirmation is called a “submission receipt.”
You can see who has made submissions and start grading. From the activity stream, you're alerted when student submissions are ready for grading. Or, select an assignment on the Course Content page to see how many students have made submissions.
Notifications are generated automatically whenever their associated events occurs. They can be set at the global or course level and sent through either the Notifications Dashboard in Blackboard or to a faculty member's SUNY Broome email address.

It is possible to submit an assignment electronically through Blackboard. You may find that your course instructor has set up a Blackboard assignment, which they expect you to complete.
Students can't see what you add until you make your assignments visible. On the Course Content page, select the plus sign wherever you want to add an assignment. In the menu, select Create to open the Create Item panel and select Assignment. The New Assignment page opens.

Your instructor may limit the amount of time you have to submit your assignment. If you have a time limit, it appears alongside other assignment details on the Course Content page. You'll also see the time limit on the assignment's Details & Information panel and within the assignment, as you work.
