A free, non-credit online orientation for students who are new to online learning, or those who may need a bit of a refresher. Grow familiar with Blackboard, MDC's Learning Management System (LMS) Acquire the technical skills necessary to succeed in an online course.
MDC LIVE – Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment Take virtual classes from anywhere and interact in real time with professors and classmates on scheduled days and times, as you would in person.
MDC will award credit only for courses with passing grades (i.e., A, B, C, and other grades considered passing by the issuing institution such as S and P) applicable to the student's degree/certificates. MDC may award credit for courses with "D" grades if applicable towards the student's program of study.
Miami Dade College is migrating from Blackboard Learn to Canvas. The migration begins in the Spring 2022 term and will run through Spring 2023. Courses in Blackboard can be accessed through https://mycourses.mdc.edu. Courses in Canvas can be accessed at https://mdc.instructure.com.Dec 15, 2021

Students enrolled in online courses receive live, online tutoring at no cost. Through the learning management system, the tutoring is only a click away. They also have help desk and student services support at any time during the term.
MDC must return unearned funds for students who fail to attend class(es) or withdraw when receiving active duty (TA) benefits. We will assess the amount of funds to be returned. The College will let you when a return is performed, and based on the amount being returned, you may be billed for a debt.

A: The MDC Live modality means you are teaching fully online and synchronously. Teaching in the MDC Live modality requires you interact in real-time with students on scheduled days and times in an online environment, as you would in your In-person classes.Oct 31, 2021
