Integrate Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor with Blackboard Learn to lockdown and automatically proctor assignments and tests securely in the Ultra Course View. To get started, your institution needs to obtain a Respondus LockDown Browser license.
When taking a proctored exam, the Blackboard can record you using both the webcam and the microphone of your computer. It achieves this through the Respondus Monitor proctoring software that is capable of accessing your webcam and the microphone. Using Respondus Lockdown Browser only would be considered the least secure and Proctorio considered the most secure. Respondus Lockdown + Respondus Monitor represents a nice middle ground. Respondus Monitor is available to any course in ICON. It also has similar features to the more extensive solution, Proctorio.
The exam will open in full-screen mode and is a standard Lock Down Setting.
