By selecting a piece of text, you have the option to strike through a piece of text, instead of adding an inline comment. Choose the S icon to strike through.
To remove the strikethrough from a piece of text, hover over the text with your mouse and click the trash can icon that appears above. If you accidentally remove a comment, you will be able to undo the change by clicking Undo in the notification that appears upon.
Comment icons point out your instructor's comments throughout your paper. You can view all comments in the sidebar to the right of your document. Click on a comment to highlight its location in the document. If a rubric was used to grade your work, select the View Rubric icon to view details.

To avoid the formatting issues, you can remove the formatting and reformat it with the options in the editor. To remove the Word formatting after you paste the text in the editor, select all the text and select the Remove Formatting icon. Only use this option if you understand that all formatting will be removed.

Select the Point Annotation icon in the toolbar to type comments in any place on the document. Comments are identified by a blue conversation bubble. Click and drag to highlight text, then choose to highlight or highlight and add a comment.

The Grade Center is accessed from the Control Panel in any Blackboard course.
