The Blackboard app Grades feature page displays an incorrect letter grade for overall course grades when the total point values of the calculation are less than Descripción: 100. Under the Select Columns section, click on a column or category to include in the weighted grade. Use the arrow to move the selected column or category to the Selected Columns area. Weighted totals are calculated based on percentages and not based on grading schemas/letter grades. Columns included in the weighted total aren't displayed using the same grading schema as the input grade values.
Important Note: We usually think of an average as the total number of points earned divided by the total number of points possible. However, in Blackboard when we create an Average calculated column, Blackboard adds up the points of all columns and divides that total by the number of columns.Dec 17, 2020
Click on the Total Column (left pane). Then click the > button to pop it over into the Selected Columns section (right pane). This will basically tell Blackboard to convert your total score into a percentage.

The weighted system calculates grade items as a percentage of a final grade worth 100%. The Max. Points you assign to individual grade items can be any value, but their contribution towards the category they belong to and the final grade is the percentage value (weight) assigned to them.
A: Remember that grades are weighted by category. So if the score on the assignment is lower than the average for that category, the overall grade will go down. Example: Student's current overall grade is 90% for all categories (tests, homework, etc.) and they get a 92% on the next test.
If you set up a Weighted Total, then it does not matter how many total points there are possible in the course assignments; there could be 100 points total, or 450, or 2175 for all the assignments. The final grade will be calculated proportionately according to the weighting scheme.
