To set the designation, click on the downward chevron, and select “Set as External Grade”.
It is important that the external grade is set correctly because it is shared with your student and other University personnel (e.g . advisors, academic coaches , etc.) as the students’ grades for the course. Adding the Macmillan Learning tool link to Blackboard gives your students the ability to view the student-specific integration tools that allow them to, for example, manage which LaunchPad e-mail is connected to Blackboard if they linked the wrong account.
These steps connect your LaunchPad course to your Blackboard course and must be completed before you will be able to add LaunchPad assignments to Blackboard.
Adding assignments from your LaunchPad course creates a link to those assignments in your Blackboard course and allows grades for those assignments to sync with the Blackboard gradebook. We recommend you add at least one link to your course using this method. Students will be able to click on the link to enroll in your LaunchPad course.
Students must connect their Blackboard and LaunchPad accounts for their grades to sync with the Blackboard gradebook. See the registration instructions below to present this information to students.

Generally speaking, you should not have to add students who are enrolled in your course to its Blackboard section. As long as the student has registered on time, they should be enrolled in your Blackboard course on Day 1.
Due to legal mandates, Educational Technology staff can only add/remove users from your course with explicit written permission from the instructor. It is therefore more efficient and safer for the instructor to manage the course membership by themselves.
There is no way to “delete” a user from your course. You can only set the course to be “not available” to an individual user. More likely you may to need to change the availaability setting for a student from unavailable to available.
