Moisten a clean, dry cloth with isopropyl alcohol. Use less alcohol for chalkboards. Wipe the board in a circular motion to loosen marker residue. Rinse with clear water.
No! Use a dry eraser or dry cloth only. If you have a true chalkboard (slate), you should never use any liquid on it.

Pour water into the dish close to the edges of your drawings. Within seconds, you'll see the dry erase ink reacting with the water, and the edges of your drawings will begin to lift. As you add more water, the ink will lift away from the bottom of the dish and float to the surface of the water.
Do not use glass cleaner, Clorox® wipes, or all-purpose cleaners as they will damage the whiteboard surface and void the warranty. The surface should be cleaned only with dry erase wipes, liquid board cleaner, or a damp wet cloth. Abrasives or other chemical cleansers should not be used.
