This is due to a setting change in Blackboard. To allow simultaneous speaking in Blackboard, go to the Blackboard Collaborate menu, Preferences -> Audio / Video -> Speaker Settings Uncheck the "Mute speakers when..." box. Click apply, and then close.
From a Collaborate session, press Tab to focus on the Share Audio button. If "Share Audio toggle button pressed, sharing audio" is not announced, you are not sharing audio. Disable and re-enable the JAWS virtual cursor. You can now use arrow keys to navigate Collaborate. Press the Down arrow to move through the controls and errors.
Check the correct microphone and webcam is selected inside Blackboard Collaborate. Ensure that the microphone is not muted and that the microphone volume is turned up. Collaborate dynamically adjusts to sending and receiving connection bandwidth changes in the quality of your internet connection. As your connection improves or degrades, the bandwidth use for video is adjusted up and down.
Disconnects or frequent audio dropouts are usually caused by the quality of your internet connection. If possible, connect to the internet through a wired connection (not wireless). Moving closer to your wireless router may also help.
The screen sharing button is greyed out. Screen sharing requires the use of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (version 80+). Note that Safari is not currently supported as of 2021-01. Screen sharing also requires the use of a desktop operating system (Windows or MacOS). Screen sharing may also become unavailable if your internet connection is very poor.

You are not currently able to share audio from browsers or applications on a mobile device, only the standard microphone audio can be shared.
