If someone uses inappropriate words in the chat, those words can be filtered out in both the live session and the recording. The words are replaced with a series of stars.
The other LMS tools have fallen behind. One reason is they are not able to update their systems, features, toolsets in a timely manner. While other LMS providers release bug fixes and new features several times a year, schools struggle to install and implement them in a timely manner.

It works well for institutions of education when paired with a student information system for enrollment purposes.

Canvas. If you are in a school or have a lots of students to manage. And you need to have a full curriculum represented online , to have the ability to track students' assignments and their grades, Canvas can be a great tool to use. It was easy to be onboard with their customer support.
Itʻs a good platform for certain things such as tests. Blackboard may not be the most user friendly but there is always room for improvement in any website, business, etc. When used with other platforms such as Google Classroom, Blackboard can be more effective, but when used by itself I feel it is not as impactful from a student perspective.

After September 1st, Blackboard will become an “archive” environment with restricted access. No classes will be taught in Blackboard for fall 2021 or beyond.

Canvas doesn’t have as many features as Blackboard, but it does include “most of the features that we know faculty use,” said Gibson. “No product is perfect,” he said. “But it’s been a good transition for us.”.
