Random Blocks are used in tests to assure the students receive different versions of the test. A test may be set up to use 10 questions out of a block of 50 questions. Each student receives 10 questions the the questions are different for each student.
Question sets vs. You can manually choose questions from all tests, surveys, and pools for question sets. Random blocks draw questions from pools only, so you can't include questions from other tests or surveys. Before you create random blocks, you must first create at least one question pool.
Blackboard can monitor and record candidates' exam environment through their computer's webcam and microphone, record computer screen, monitor and restrict right-clicking, minimize, screen capture, new window, and various other actions.
Create a True/False question Access a test, survey, or pool. From the Create Question menu, select True/False. Type the question in the form of a statement that students can answer with true or false. Select the correct answer: True or False.

Yes. When taking a proctored exam, the Blackboard can record you using both the webcam and the microphone of your computer. It achieves this through the Respondus Monitor proctoring software that is capable of accessing your webcam and the microphone. In a normal assignment environment, Blackboard or Canvas cannot detect screen sharing or screenshots if a student is working on them using a normal browser.
