Multiple attempts, question overrides, and question edits

When students take a test multiple times, the last submitted attempt is used as the input for the analysis. For example, for a test with three attempts, Student A completes two attempts and has a third attempt in progress. Student A's current attempt counts toward the number listed for In Progress Attempts.

Item analysis can help you improve questions for future test administrations. You can also fix misleading or ambiguous questions in a current test.

What if tool?

The "What-If" tool allows students to calculate their total grade by entering hypothetical grades for all assignments. To test a different score for an assignment, students can click an assignment grade and enter a score in the score column.

Can you see your grade in multiple grades?

If Multiple Grading Periods are enabled in your course and users cannot view total grades, or if you have hidden student grade totals in Course Settings, students cannot view their current or total grade in the student Grades page.
