Your institution controls which tools are available. On the Grade Details page, you can view a student's attempts and grade history, assign and edit a grade, and clear and exempt grades.
A dash circle means the assignment is exempted and will not affect your grade if you do not complete it.
For the colored grade pills, the highest score range is green and the lowest is red.
Problem is, when you go to Blackboard Grade Center, there's this weird green checkmark next to your Total column which designates that column as the “External Grade.” I have no idea what that actually means, but for our purposes, what this means is that you can't delete the Total column until you designate some other ...Dec 30, 2014

From the pull down menu select View Grade Details. 4. On the screen that appears, find the submission near the bottom of the screen. To the right of the entry, click the button labeled Clear Attempt.
Locate the student and the assignment for which you would like to allow an additional attempt. Hover over the the grade area and click the gray drop-down arrow for more options, then click View Grade Details.
