Feb 25, 2020 · I don't see the shortcut link to the course under the Blackboard icon in myUMBC: If it doesn't show up in the Blackboard "Check My Activity (CMA)" module (see image below), it doesn't mean you are not enrolled or you don't have access. The CMA list is populated 24 hours after Blackboard is updated the previous day.
Assignments or tests completed on a learning management system like Blackboard can be simple with some preparation and planning. Before you complete your first graded quiz, assignment or test in your Blackboard online course, please read the following tips and change your computer settings if necessary.
Give yourself plenty of time before the graded item is due – don’t wait till the last minute! Leave time for your instructor or the college Help Desk to help if needed.
Use an Updated, Supported Browser: When you log in to your Blackboard account at the beginning of the semester, please take time to click on the “Computer Needs” link at the bottom left of the WGTC landing page.

Log into CougarWeb and check your schedule. Are you still registered for the course? Students may be dropped for non-payment of fees, non-attendance, not meeting a prerequisite requirement. If you are no longer registered, then you will need to re-register for the course before you can see your course in Blackboard.
If you registered today and your course has already started or is about to start (within the next four days), then you will be able to view your course in Blackboard after 3:00 AM tomorrow morning.
When you register for a class you are automatically enrolled into the Blackboard system for that course within approximately 6 hours. However, there could be several reasons why you may not see a Blackboard course.

Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student’s enrollment.
Students who are registered through San Jacinto College for an online course are not required to register for the course through Blackboard. Once a student has successfully registered and paid for a course, it will automatically be added to the student’s roster in Blackboard Learn 9.1.
