The product I came to these reviews through was Cricut stencil vinyl. It is not regular vinyl that you use to leave permanently on products. It is a translucent light blue, thicker vinyl, with a grid on it and is sticky on the back. It is used to make stencils, not to be used as actual vinyl to be left on products.

Use a craft stick or Cricut Scraper. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape, simply burnish the vinyl onto the surface again. Then continue to peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl.
