Blackboard course sites will be retained six full semesters (two years) past the current term. As an administrator in Brightspace Learning Environment, select Admin Tools. In the Admin Tools menu, under Security, select Roles and Permissions. From the Administrator drop-down menu, select Edit Settings. Under Course Access Options, Select the Access Future Courses checkbox and/or the Access Past Courses checkbox.
At Vanderbilt, Brightspace is the campus-wide learning platform. These are also often referred to as a learning management system (LMS), but delivery platforms can be any number web-based products students use to collaborate with each other, engage with course materials, or generate content.
Course management systems are narrower in scope. That is, this system focuses on the management and distribution of eLearning and instructor led courses. An LMS is a software platform for delivering learning material online. In addition, it gives you tools to manage training and development, increase learner engagement, and build a sense of community. You can assign content to specific groups of learners in an LMS .
You can return to previous courses to review content, reuse material, and prepare your future courses. Your institution controls the page that appears after you log in. On the Courses page, you can access all of your courses. Each course card lists the course ID, course title, and instructor.
On your Courses page in Blackboard, click the three dots next to a course and choose Hide Course. If you would like to unhide your course, click the Filter menu and choose "Hidden from me." Click the three dots next to a course and choose "Show Course."Jan 20, 2021
Log into Blackboard and go to My Courses.If the course code still appears in your list, then you can download your past assessment or assignment from the My Interim Results tab.If it is not in your list, contact the Course Coordinator to check if they have a copy filed.
