Logging into Blackboard Go to https://blackboard.usc.edu/. Click the Sign in using your USC NetID button. On the USC Single Sign On page, enter your USC Net ID (username) and password. You will be prompted to verify your identity via Duo Mobile Security. Once you have verified your identity on Duo, the page will be directed to Blackboard.

The University of South Carolina’s Blackboard system is a Learning Management System (LMS) that allows instructors and students to engage online in instructor to student, student to material, and student to student interactions.
Blackboard is the university’s Learning Management System hosted in the cloud. It can be used by instructors to post and distribute course content such as syllabi and handouts; to communicate with students via discussion boards, announcements, and email messages; to collect student work and assignments; to assess student learning through quizzes and online assignments, and to grade assignments. Blackboard Collaborate also allows for face-to-face interaction and even breakout rooms for small group discussions.
You will receive a copy of the e-mail, but Blackboard does not keep a record of sent e-mails. Nor does Blackboard recognize file or e-mail addresses with special characters.

A Blackboard course is automatically created for every course at USC. Each course is hidden from the students until the instructor chooses to make the course available to students. Not Available indicates the course is hidden from students, you always have access.
Spring courses are automatically created on November 15, and. Summer courses are automatically created on March 15. ITS also disables student access to completed Blackboard courses approximately eight weeks after the last day of classes, as listed on USC’s academic calendar .
