To submit a paper to a Turnitin assignment in Blackboard, the user must log in and upload a file to an existing assignment. Turnitin assignments cannot accept student submissions until the assignment start date and time has passed.
From the main homepage, select the name of the class to view the class portfolio. Find the assignment inbox for the assignment you submitted to. Under the Similarity column, you'll find your similarity score. This is a numerical and visual indicator of the amount of similarity we found in your work.
At UCLA, the service is used through MyUCLA. Make sure students are accessing through MyUCLA to prevent confusion. Tips: TAs granted access to Turnitin are able to fully administer the service on behalf of the instructor.
Find the report While the report is processing, a Report in progress... message appears. When the report is ready to view, a percentage appears in the grading sidebar. Expand the SafeAssign link and select View Originality Report to view the results in a new window.
Turnitin checks previously submitted work and detects it as plagiarism, whether it was submitted by you or someone else. This is because previously submitted papers and essays are stored on the Turnitin database. This means that if the work is re-used, Turnitin will flag it for similarity.Jul 29, 2020

As of Fall 2019 there are two ways to create assignments in CCLE that make use of Turnitin: Instructors may create an Assignment and then enable the Turnitin setting within that assignment. Instructors may instead create a “Turnitin Assignment.”
