It is the responsibility of the student to officially drop any class(es) he or she is not attending. You can drop the course using online registration. If you are doing a total withdrawal, you must fill out a withdrawal form with the Office of the Registrar.
One can repeat any UNLV course once at UNLV and have the original grade removed from your GPA. Courses that are initially taken at UNLV must be repeated at UNLV in order to have the initial grade removed from the computation of the GPA.
Late registration fees are $50 for all students whose initial registration for the term occurs during the late registration period.
The grade of S, as well as grades of D- and above on the letter grade scale are considered passing. Students earn credit for courses upon entry of passing grades. Colleges, Schools, and departments can determine a higher passing grade to earn their degrees.
In order to audit a class, students need to contact the Office of the Registrar. Changing Credit to Audit: Students may change from credit to audit until the end of the drop period for a class.

UNLV does not recognize academic renewal or forgiveness policies from other institutions. To convert quarter credits to the semester credits value, multiply credits by two and divide by three (two-thirds ratio). For admissions purposes, credits do not expire, and all earned credits will be evaluated.
For Financial Aid purposes, passing grades are considered to be a grade of A-D and Credit. The following are not considered passing grades: F, NC, WU, or W.
