Qualtrics is an online survey software solution. All users with a myBama account can create a Qualtrics account through the University’s enterprise license. Follow the instructions provided in the Getting Started with Qualtrics section below.Qualtrics users can track participation, send invitations and reminders, display survey results graphically and statistically in real time, and export raw data in a variety of formats (to CSV, XML, HTML and SPSS, and popular statistical packages).
Panopto allows instructors to record lectures and automatically upload them to the Course Videos area of a Blackboard course. These recordings most commonly consist of voice capture through the classroom microphone, and screen capture of the lecturer’s computer screen.
LastPass is a secure password management tool that can create and store passwords in an encrypted environment. LastPass is available as a browser tool and a mobile device app. Students are eligible to use LastPass Premium for personal passwords. Faculty and staff are eligible to use LastPass Premium for personal passwords as well as LastPass Enterprise for University passwords. EndNote is citation management software that allows users to create customized libraries of references, automatically create citations and bibliography matching the requirements of the selected journal or style manual, sync and share references, and more. With EndNote, users can quickly find reliable sources of information on various subjects while easily collecting sources in one convenient place.

DocuSign is an e-signature solution that allows users to quickly and securely access and sign documents. Users can easily upload and send documents for others to sign. DocuSign is an ideal tool to access and sign a document without a fax machine or physical copy. With DocuSign, users can send a document that requires signature or verification. Taskstream is a cloud-based electronic portfolio platform. Users can create web pages and portfolios to display resumes, skills and experiences. Taskstream is provided to UA students, faculty and staff by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

Spirion is commercial software that searches for sensitive data such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, and a variety of other data elements. With Spirion, UA faculty and staff can proactively find sensitive data on their University owned machines and storage.
Users must load a new SAS installation date (SID) file and agree to the Terms and Conditions each year, and the licensing period run from July 1st to June 30th. This is required to comply with the licensing agreement. If you want to continue running the version of SAS that you have installed, you will need to load a new SID file each June.
LockDown Browser is a locked browser for taking tests in Blackboard Learn. It prevents students from printing, copying, visiting another URL, or accessing other applications during a test. If a Blackboard test requires that LockDown Browser be used, you will not be able to take the test with a standard web browser.
Respondus Campus-Wide is a test management tool which can import questions from Microsoft Word and other formats into Blackboard Learn. Tests from Blackboard Learn can be printed through Respondus Campus-Wide. Respondus can also be used to obtain publisher exams through the Respondus Test Bank Network.
RefWorks is an online tool used to save citations, organize and share research, and create bibliographies. RefWorks is an ideal tool for students in organizing citations and information.
