unity shader graph blackboard stuck to mouse

I tried to make a simple shader with LightweightPipelineAsset rendering pipeline and I can't have a simple material with a texture.

if there is no blackboard how does one rename or reorder the inputs/properties. having all your inputs named "color" just wont do.

You need to delete your library folder to restore the Blackboard - it disappears when the window is resized. (will disappear again if you try to resize after deleting the library). This is a bug, convert to property is not meant to replace the black board.

hi, i had the same problem. apparently the first launch for mine didn't show it so i just saved the asset on the top left, quit out of the shader graph and entered it again... it is now showing.

Hi. It happened to me.. The window is Hidden behind the preview of the material

The properties in the Blackboard do not have an expand/collapse icon. This can't be a bug? If not how do I set/change the default values of Blackboard properties?

I installed 2020.2 yesterday and I have the exact same problem. This looks like a bug to me but I have not used Shader Graph before. I was going to use it for my next game project.

It's a little annoying, but on the top right of the graph window you have a node outliner. The options for the exposed properties show up there when you select them, under the 'Node Settings' tab.

Confirmed. Property values have moved into Graph Inspector > Node Settings.

It sure requires getting used to. But it also makes certain sense, blackboards become unwieldy when you have a lot of properties and you have to expand and collapse them all the time. Searching for a property when you have 15 of them and all of them are expanded is pretty inconvenient.

I am creating a building game where players can pick up and drop buildings. I am using 2018.1 shader graph. When I move the mouse over (I use Raycast), I want the building to have a glowing edge (Fresnel on emission).

Thank you for taking the time to reply but this does not answer my question. Firstly, I'm not coding the shaders, I'm using Shader Graph in 2018.1. Also, I don't see how this answers my problem of automatically setting the colour in the shader given the material properties.

bgolus

I was hoping that I could access the material property "Color" as used in Standard (Simple Lighting) but it appears that the properties of shaders are globally unique and when I create a blackboard property, it creates a new global property rather than reusing an existing one by convention.
