Student Responsibility and Technical Difficulties Policy

Participants taking Blackboard online courses are responsible for ensuring regular access to all course material from a reliable Internet connection, and access to a standard personal computer or laptop.

Hardware and Software Requirements

A reliable computer is needed with a sound card and high-speed internet connection to submit assignments, create products, participate in online activities, and view Internet resources. Do not rely on a public computer (e.g., library) to complete all course activities.

Contact IT Services

For issues regarding the Blackboard system, notify your instructor and IT Services. Additional Blackboard support can be found at bbhelp.uark.edu and tips.uark.edu. If you need general computer help, the IT Services website has searchable tech articles for anyone to access. You can reach IT Services by any of the following ways.

On Blackboard

A letter grade is required to transfer grades. If you have the column set to show a number (i.e. score or percentage) the grades will not transfer. Tip: Name the column you want to transfer so that it is easy to identify in the full list of Grade Center columns in a future step (e.g. Final Grade, Early Progress Grade, UAConnect Grade).

On UAConnect

Important: Please check to make sure that you are viewing the correct term on UAConnect. If the term is not correct, click on the green change term button at the top of the page.
