A No Pass (NP) grade is awarded for D or F work. A student can elect up to 12 credits taken as Pass/No Pass to fulfill degree requirements at Tri- C. Whereas audited courses do not transfer, Pass/No Pass courses may transfer to another college or university.
At most schools, a D is the lowest passing grade. That means students who earn a D or higher receive credit for the course. However, some schools set special policies around D grades.Aug 4, 2021

Blackboard Learn is a Web-based course-management system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face teaching.
There are a number of technologies integrated into Blackboard Learn. These include Mediasite, Ally Webex, Collaborate Ultra, and ProctorU. Each is mentioned in this User Guide, but each has their own training session. You will find the training sessions in TEC.
You can show or hide columns in the grade center to simplify your view. You can also reorder columns so that they are in chronological order as your students work through the course.
The Institution page has several faculty and student resources, the first of which is the Course Site Request Tool. This is where you will click to get a course site when the time comes to do so. (after training is over)
By default, Edit Mode will be on for instructors to manage and make changes to their course content. Turning off Edit Mode will allow instructors to see what their students see in the course.
Announcements can be used to provide students with course reminders and updates. They can include text, images, and various types of multimedia content. To create an announcement, follow the instructions below:
Content folders are used for organizing course materials within content areas of Blackboard. A best practice is to create one folder for each lesson in your course that contains all necessary materials students will need for that lesson. This will help make materials easier to find and reduces the amount of scrolling in the Course area.
Several training sessions for Collaborate are available. Search the term "OLATFF1011" in the Faculty Development Calendar or TEC to find upcoming sessions.
Course Room: Instructors can include in each Course its own Course Room; a synchronous meeting room that can be used for synchronous online meetings and students can access the room with or without the instructor at any time for collaboration and study groups.
For student ease of access to a synchronous session, an effective practice would be for instructors to add a link to Blackboard Collaborate Ultra in each Course Content Lesson. Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a Blackboard Learn tool. For instructors to link to the tool from within a course content area:
Students: Is your instructor using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra for synchronous online course times or online office hours? Go to Student Online Learning Tutorials and search using the key word “Collaborate” to see a variety of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra tutorial videos for students.#N#Faculty: You can link individual Blackboard Collaborate Ultra tutorial videos for students in your Blackboard course sites.
Browser Options: It is suggested to use Chrome when moderating a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra session. Firefox will have less share functionality.
