Unfortunately, once an assignment has been successfully submitted you cannot delete it. However, if you have the ability to make another submission you can make a resubmission.Jun 24, 2021
Restore deleted pagesNavigate to the Site Manager.Select Recycle Bin. Deleted pages are displayed with the most recently deleted items listed first.Select Restore to restore deleted pages. Your page is restored and listed at the bottom of your page list.
Hover over the cell and click on the contextual menu on the right side of the cell. Then select the View Grade Details from the drop-down menu. On the following page, click on the Clear Attempt button or Allow Additional Attempt. Clearing the attempt will completely remove the student's first attempt.
Locate the student and the assignment for which you would like to allow an additional attempt. Hover over the the grade area and click the gray drop-down arrow for more options, then click View Grade Details. How do you delete a submitted assignment on canvas as a student? Navigate to Assessments and select Assignments. If you wish to delete a student's submissions for an assignment, identify the assignment. The student's name will appear in a box that you can select, then click the Delete button.
To edit an assignment, from its context menu, click Edit Assignment. Make your changes and click Save and Close. To delete a category, click its Delete icon. Click Delete.
The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment. The student may have a hold on his/her record.

On the Administrator Panel, under Content Management, select Content Area Management. Select Manage Recycle Bins. In the Use Recycle Bin field for the desired content area, select Yes.
