Sep 23, 2020 · There are several ways to look at student activity in your Blackboard courses to check their progress. The Course Activity Overview report is probably the easiest way to get an overview of the overall activity within a single course, sorted by student and date. This report initially shows the hours spent in the course for each student.
As an instructor, you can see when your students opened, started, and submitted tests and assignments with the Student Activity report. In general, this feature looks and functions the same whether you're working in an Original or Ultra course.
Blackboard can also detect cheating during online tests by recording video and audio of the candidate through the test taker's webcam and microphone. You can now check your Blackboard activity from within all Blackboard courses and compare it against your course peers. To access “Check My Activity” look for the Course Information menu on the left hand side of the course page. Find Check My Activity and click.

It is possible to track the access of an individual item such as a document in Course Documents or Course Information. To do this it is necessary to select, Track Number of Views when you originally added the item. Tracking information is only collected from the time you answered Yes to this question.
Activity stream items are grouped into four categories to make the list easier to scan: Important: See overdue assignments, tests, and graded discussions. The number of items in this section makes up the count shown by Activity Stream in the list where your name appears.
The Test Information Access Log displays the following information: Date and time. Access type; test start time and individual question. Test time how long it took per question.

On your Activity Stream page, select the Stream Settings icon to open the Notification Settings panel. You can also access these settings from your profile page.
The activity stream shows what's happening in your courses, whether the course uses the Original or Ultra Course View.
In the app's activity stream, you can dismiss items in the Important section after you read them.
In the Blackboard app, some activity stream items are affected by your Blackboard Learn 9.1 dashboard notification settings. A notification setting may control whether the item appears in the app's activity stream.
Use this area to quickly see the last time a student logged into your course (also available in the Grade Center). If you use Discussion Boards, it will also display the last date/time they made a post to forums and how many posts they made in each forum.
These reports allow you to view student performance, submissions, and grades compared to the class average. Click on a specific student to see their detailed performance. (Reports may take up to 30 seconds to load.)
Course Reports provide an additional method to view information not just about student activity but also which content and tools are used in the course.
In a course, go to Course Management > Grade Center > Full Grade Center.
Blackboard comes with tools that can make cheating almost impossible. It comes with tools to administer proctored exams and detect plagiarism. The detection of plagiarism is automatic and the proctored exams require a specialized browser. Blackboard uses SafeAssign as a plagiarism detection tool.
