Since the Spring 2020 closure of our campuses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of the Provost has implemented new policies, resources and guidelines to ensure faculty members' success.

MAJ Wayne D. Richey Jr comes to WVU from Fort Campbell, where he served as the executive/operations officer for the 184th Ordnance Bn. (EOD). A career EOD officer, he was previously assigned as the TF Hellhound (EOD) executive officer responsible for EOD/Counter-IED/Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction operations within CENTCOM (OIR/OFS & OSS).
Charlotte Marbury has more than 20 years of experience as a WVU employee assigned to the Mountaineer Battalion. She plans and coordinates all special events such as commissioning and award ceremonies. She also works closely with the potential Cadets in scheduling DODMERB physicals and follow-up appointments.
CPT Creasy was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She commissioned as a Military Police Officer in 2011 from Missouri State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. CPT Creasy is primarily an MS I instructor, but also teaches three military science levels at Waynesburg University, an ROTC partnership school with WVU.
John Dowling brings more than 35 years of military experience to the position as the Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO) where he has served since 2013. He is responsible for all facets of recruiting, public affairs, enrollment-scholarship processing, and mission set management. A product of the Mountaineer Battalion and a 1989 West Virginia University graduate, Mr. Dowling retired as a colonel from the Army Reserve in 2018.
Responsible for operational planning and teaching the MS 1 level courses, CPT Herrick is a native of Marlboro, Vermont. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geospatial Information Science (GIS) and is an Ordnance officer. He deployed to Afghanistan (2010-11) with the 101st Airborne Division (2nd BCT). A graduate of the Captains Career Course, CPT Herrick is a officially serving in the Logistics career branch and has successfully completed two company commands.
SSG Joshua Castillo has over 12 years of military service as a 42A Human Resources Specialist. He ss a native of Puerto Rico. SSG Castillo had deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan (twice). SSG Castillo is currently performing duties as an MS1 instructor.
MAJ Clay Seldomridge, a WV Army National Guard officer, transitioned to the Mountaineer Battalion in Fall 2019 after serving as the executive officer of the WV Army National Recruiting & Retention Battalion.
