What is an assignment in Blackboard?

Assignments in Blackboard allow your students to submit electronic documents or text directly through the Blackboard interface. The student work is time stamped and categorized for easy grading directly within the system.

Does Blackboard use Turnitin?

To submit a paper to a Turnitin assignment in Blackboard, the user must log in and upload a file to an existing assignment. Turnitin assignments cannot accept student submissions until the assignment start date and time has passed.
