There are two main resources you can use to learn more about how to use Blackboard Ultra.

Hands-on Assistance

Our Library and Tutoring services can help you navigate Blackboard. You can drop into any of our campus libraries and ask for help or visit a tutoring center for course help.

GoKCTCS Technical Support

If you need technical support for using or accessing Blackboard or any other KCTCS system or resource, there is one central access point where you reach out for support: GoKCTCS .

Reset Your Password

Sometimes passwords cause issues with logging-on to MyPath or Blackboard. Go here to reset your user password .

User Account Center

UAC is the place for you to set-up accounts and more. If you're not sure if you're fully enrolled, this is the best starting place.

Student Self Service

The Student Self-Service Center is your one-stop shop for all your school records and information.

Your Student Account

One of the first things you should do after being accepted into a dual credit course is to set up your student account. Your account will give you access to:

Check your KCTCS email account on a regular basis! That’s how we’ll communicate with you, so you’ll want to check it often to make sure you don’t miss anything important.

Did you know that faculty now post MIDTERM GRADES every semester?

All classes at BCTC post Midterm Grades to let you know how you are doing in class. The Midterm date can be found on the Academic Calendar for each session.

Did you know that Blackboard is NOT your official grade center?

To find official Midterm Grades and Final Course Grades you need to go to your Student Self-Service (Peoplesoft). See How to Find Midterm and Course Grades for step-by-step instructions on finding your official course grades.

Did you know that instructor OFFICE HOURS are designated times for you?

Did you know that BCTC has lots of FREE services to help you improve your grades?

The Student Success Hub provides general assistance with all your student needs, including Advising Assistance, Student Success Workshops, and Peer Mentoring.

Are other nursing tests available through the Leestown Assessment Center?

Yes, we can provide NLN PAX-PN tests, Pre-NCLEX Readiness Tests, Certified Nurse Educator Examinations, and other tests upon request.

Are special testing accommodations granted for individuals with disabilities?

Yes, please visit the NLN website for information about special testing accommodations and contact our campus Disability Services.

Can I repeat the NLN PAX-RN exam?

A minimum of three months is typically required prior to repeating the exam.

How do I register to take the PAX-RN?

You can schedule an appointment to take the NLN PAX-RN exam by choosing the "Schedule an Exam" button here and selecting the "National League for Nursing (NLN) Group". You must schedule your exam at least 7 days in advance.

How long are my test scores good for selected admissions?

There currently is no time limitation. Copies of the results are only available for 3 years.

What is the NLN Pre-Admission Exam (PAX)?

The National League for Nursing Pre-Admission Examination (NLN PAX) for registered nursing programs "PAX-RN" is a 3-hour standardized entrance exam for potential nursing students who seek admittance into nursing schools nationwide.

What makes my NLN score report "official"?

For students that take the NLN exam at one of BCTC's testing centers, our staff will provide you will an "official" copy of your NLN scores. This document is considered "official" when it is embossed or stamped by the testing center.
