To ignore or clear an attempt follow the steps below:Go to the Full Grade Center. Hover your mouse over the cell where the student's grade appears. Click the drop down arrow in the cell.Click on View Grade Details.Click Ignore Attempt OR Clear Attempt.

You can exempt a grade from a student's record and the grade is ignored in all Grade Center calculations. The grade cell displays the Exempt icon. You can also apply an exemption before a grade is assigned. If you assigned a grade and then exempted it, the grade remains available on the Grade Details page.
Ignoring the attempt will allow the student to take the assessment again, preserving a copy of the student's original submission. Clearing the attempt also allows the student to retake the assessment, but this option deletes the student's original submission.Jul 1, 2020
A null sit is a decision that means the assessment attempt doesn't count and therefore doesn't contribute to the maximum number of attempts allowed. Record a null sit using the NS grade. A null sit may also be referred to as "resitting as a first attempt".Jul 18, 2019
